Goods for Good Raffle to Benefit Martha's Table
To kick off Giving Tuesday, we’re raising money for Martha's Table with a special raffle to help their mission to support strong children, strong families and strong communities in the DC area. Martha’s Table began in 1980 in DC as a safe space for children to access after-school meals on 14th Street. It has now grown into a community-led organization serving more than 45,000 neighbors annually in the DC area.
From education to health and wellness, their work is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built by investing in people. They do this through:
- Early childhood & educational support: nationally accredited early-childhood education and learning support for kids from birth onward.
- Food and nutrition access: no-cost “Healthy Food Markets,” monthly community markets, and their mobile meal program (McKenna's Wagon) that provides meals and groceries to families, individuals facing food insecurity, and people experiencing housing instability.
- Family support & basic needs: support for parents and caregivers (resources, training, family-support services), provision of essentials like clothing and baby items (through programs like Martha's Outfitters), and other wraparound services to help families form stable foundations.
- Community investments & empowerment: efforts to build local leadership and economic mobility by investing in community-led initiatives, supporting grassroots organizations (especially in historically underserved neighborhoods), and working to break cycles of disadvantage.
• 100% of your donation goes to Martha's Table
• The raffle runs from 12/2 to 12/10 and the winner will be announced via instagram on 12/11
- A luxe 100% brushed cotton throw by Sferra
- Sydney Hale Fir + Blue Sage candle
- Archivist match box
- A beautiful dried bouquet
Thank you and good luck!
