Come get a preview of RareSweets, a bakeshop and specialty dessert company opening in downtown’s CityCenterDC this fall, when Salt & Sundry hosts a pop-up shop with pastry chef and founder Meredith Tomason. Swing by both Saturday and Sunday to purchase Meredith's seasonally inspired sweets and confections, including DIY s'mores kits, peanut brittle, coconut macaroons, blondies, brownies and more.
Watch as six of DC's best chefs go behind the bar to create innovative cocktails, all to raise funds for Share Our Strength. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to sample a drink from each chef along with bites from Union Market vendors and beer from Stella Artois. All attendees will vote for their favorite cocktail for a people's choice award winner. The overall winner will be chosen by a group of DC's best food critics and bartenders: Gina Chersevani (Buffalo & Bergen), Amanda McClements (Salt & Sundry), Nycci Nellis (The List Are You On It?), Jessica Sidman (Washington City Paper) and Owen Thomson (Bar Pilar, Cafe Saint-Ex and President, DC Craft Bartender's Guild). Get tickets here.
