Blue Cactus Silk Pillow

Ethically crafted from natural fibers and vegetable dyes, this cactus silk pillow represents days of work and generations of skill passed from mother to daughter. Just outside of Marrakech, a remarkable group of women transform the natural fibers of desert agave into beautiful silken thread using time-honored methods. The hand-spun thread is then masterfully woven on family looms and embroidered with traditional motifs. Through their weaving, these women are redefining traditional gender roles and finding financial independence.
